Friends: Welcome to FOGC
Friends: We live in an old world; its been here since the beginning of time. That may seem pretty obvious but if this is the case then why do we insist on destroying it and each other; why do we insist on destroying the memory and person of those who have helped to create this world in which we live?
Although this website is mainly concerned with issues relating to the German community, in order to be seen to be practising what we preach we must be compassionate towards other oppressed peoples of the world who remain a mere statistic in the genocidal culture of dictatorships and ethnic cleansing......
Collective guilt is the principle of guilt applied to all for the actions or interprative understanding of the few, or indeed of one.
Some examples of this could be the Holocaust who were cleansed because of who they were: This probably the most well known example of 20th century collective guilt but there are other examples such as the Armenian genocide and Arpatheid in South Africa, as well as the Expulsion of the East European Germans which, driven by blind vengeance and unrivalled brutality, resulted in the expulsion of 14 million ethnic-Germans and Hungarians and the horrific death of 2-3 million innocent men, women and children.
Here at Friends of Germany Coalition we hope to have, and continue to supply many items of interest which relate to the German community throughout the world.
There are pages devoted to recent news as well as others which contain reviews of books, films and events throughout the world.
There are also pages devoted to human rights and the internment and expulsion of many German nationals and ethnic Germans throughout the world - from the Isle of Man internment camps and Crystal City in USA to the Expulsion of the East European Germans in which 14 million were expelled and roughly 3 million men, women and children died as innocent people.
There are also other pages devoted to the history, culture and politics of the German people as well as German communities, media and pages searching for those missing as a result of 20th century conflict, and in memoriam of those who died, again as a result of 20th century conflict; there will be no dividing factors - for in death we are all equal.
On occasions you may feel that your human rights may have been violated. In this event you are more than welcome to report them to Friends of Germany Coalition where we will assist in any way we can.
In the event that we are unable to resolve the issue we may in certain circumstances pass your details on to a third-party NGO or government agency or department. If this is the case you will be contacted before hand to obtain your consent for such an action. You will find the link to report human rights violations just below and at the bottom of this and every page.
The image to the left signifies the EU and the position Germany holds within
Europe.
Germany has always been central to European events and as such can be considered as the European heartland. As with every other country in the world Germany has had its fair share of chequered history. One of the intentions of Friends of Germany Coalition is to demonstrate that every country, such as those involved in World War II have had their fair share of chequered history and subsequently that society shouldnt condemn the entire nation for a part of its history that most of us had a hand in.
Here at Friends of Germany Coalition we strongly believe that our children should not have to bear witness to the full horrors of war but nevertheless should be educated in its horror.
It is important to remember that our children are our future. Therefore with the correct, proper and true education we hope that our children can learn from our mistakes and create a better future.
Would you like to write for Friends of Germany Coalition? Do you have unpublished manuscripts or other documentation you would like to see published? Have you books, films or events (etc) that you have reviewed? If so drop us a line and we will look at publishing your work here on Friends of Germany Coalition.

Did You Know?
.
Did you know that British Monarch Queen Victoria was married to German Price Albert: The Royal Albert Hall in London was named after him and is one of the principle homes of British Remembrance
Given the Wall Street Crash between the two World Wars and the impact it had on the German economy it can be argued that Germany has had what i would call a chequered history with regards to its economy.
From taking a wheelbarrow full of money to the shop that is empty only to be full of stock the next day to the current economic dealings, Friends of Germany Coalition offers a full account of the German economy throughout the 20th and 21st century's.
Should you have something to say and would like to share it, providing it is polite, well-mannered and not racist or in breach of any law which may see Friends of Germany Coalition prosecuted then please either contact us using the various forms of communication on Friends of Germany Coalition, such as Here or use the Your Say page by using the link below.
I was recently talking to somebody about German history and the inevitable question of collective guilt came into the conversation.
It was an interesting conversation but what surprised me was that she felt guilty; not because of something she had done but because of what her father had allegedly done.
What surprised me further is that she said that she didnt know that much about her father and what he did or didn't do during the Second World War.
So why do the German people exist within the realm of self-guilt? Why do they accept the responsibility for the alleged crimes of their ancestors, especially when they don't have the facts to hand?
A good question indeed? Do you have an answer or do you at least want to attempt to explain this sad state of affairs? If so drop us a line. There is more about the concept of collective guilt and how it applies to the German people throughout this website. Click on the link below for more information.
Why Does a Site Dedicated to German Issues Help the Search for Madeleine McCann?
Why does the Friends of Germany Coalition Help the search for Madeleine McCann?
Well the answer is simple. The name is indicative of our intention. If the world could become friends it would be a far better place. We all have to breathe the same air, we all have the same problems with the Ozone layer, with continual conflict and with the economic slump.
So the message from Friends of Germany Coalition is "let us all share the responsibility of finding this child. Let us put our differences aside and help return this child to her family."
The majority of us are parents! I have 5 daughters myself and it would destroy me if any of them went missing. You, the visitor to this website, probably have children, neices, nephews, cousins and/or friends: Take a moment to imagine how you would feel if any of them went missing: This, at the very minimum is how Kate and Gerry McCann feel.
Let us share the responsibility for our children and their safety: Our Children are our future so lets ensure their welfare: Lets find Madeleine and find her NOW before she suffers any more.
A word from Friends of Germany Coalition: Although this is a high profile case Friends of Germany Coalition will assist in any way we can with the search for anybody else who is missing regardless of race, nationality, colour, creed, religion, gender or any other distinguishing feature.
It doesn't matter where in the world your loved one was last seen: Friends of Germany coalition will create a page on this website dedicated to your loved one as well as inserting images and information throughout this website.
From those missing as a result of the Expulsion of the East European Germans as a result of the Second world War to those who have run away from home, we will asist in any way we can in the search. We have friends throughout the world who are ready and willing to help.
All you have to do is send us some pictures and as much information as possible and we will put it online in a matter of days.
Should you have any information about Madeleine or any other missing person but wish to remain anonymous then please use the link below to contact Friends of Germany Coalition: We will pass on your information about Madeleine to the investigation team and/or the Police in the form of a Microsoft Word Document.
Our sole aim is to find Madeleine and other missing persons throughout the world
Friends of Germany Coalition is currently sponsoring the "Million Signature Petition" in memory of the 14 million expelled and 2-3 million who were murdered as a result of frenzied retaliation after World War II.
The Million Signature Petition has been designed to draw attention to the racist and discriminatory Decrees of the President of the Republic in the Czech Republic. Although they are more commonly known as the 'Benes Decrees' these Laws, Edicts and Decrees can be considered as the Decrees of every President of the (Czech) Republic from the end of World War II until the present day.
Their continued legal status amounts to the advocation of discrimination, racism and oppression of the former ethnic-German and Hungarian population. By its true definition, those ethnic-Germans and Hungarians, expelled in a manner comparable with The Holocaust and the Armenian Genocide are unable to return to their homeland, instead having to dedicate their lives to their adopted homelands
In memory of the 14 million ethnic-Germans expelled from their homes and the 2-3 million who were mercilessly killed for no other reason than who they were, we dedicate this website and of those who operate it, we dedicate our lives to the pursuit of justice, humanity and compassion to all mankind.
To sign the petition and for more information please click on the link below or use the links and menu on every page
Did you know that despite their ample use during World War II the concentration camp was in fact a British invention dating to the Boer War.
The picture below is of some women and children in a British-run concentration camp in South Africa (1900-1902).
The Oxford English Dictionary 2nd Edition, defines concentration camp as;
"a camp where non-combatants of a district are accomodated, such as those instituted by Lord Kitchener during the South African war of 1899-1902, for the internment of political prisoners and foreign nationals etc.
A Concentration Camp is therefore a place which a government uses to keep people who are against that government or who it thinks are too dangerous to remain free.
On occasions these are called internment camps where a large number of people are put in prison without a trial.
Those who are locked away in such a prison are not usually found guilty of a crime but may be politically against the leaders of a region, people who are of a certain race or religion or non-military prisoners of war.
Click on the link below to find out how the concentration or internment camp is not a specific German invention but moreover how it was, and still is, used by governments throughout the world to contain those who simply are the wrong people in the wrong place.
Here at Friends of Germany Coalition we believe that the memory of those who lost their lives in conflict and as a result of civilian internment and expulsion is important to those who lost loved ones as well as to future generations.
Therefore we offer pages on this website where the names and any other details you may wish to supply are listed of those who are either missing or lost their lives as a result of conflict, genocide and ethnic cleansing in the 20th and 21st centuries.
We do this without distinction of race, colour, nationality, ethnicity or any other distinguishing factor.
Friends of Germany Coalition operates a friendly Discussion Group where a whole range of issues can be discussed from the expulsion of the east-European Germans to music, culture and politics. Human rights are also an issue within Friends of Germany Coalition: Therefore human rights issues may also be discussed as they relate to the German community.
These pages contain various ads and affiliate programmes of which you may be interested. These pages are worth a look before you leave the Friends of Germany Coalition website.
Please note however, that Friends of Germany Coalition, Douglas Brough and/or douglasbrough.com does not make any representation regarding the accuracy of these external links and adverts.
When-ever German history is discussed it is inevitable that the Holocaust will crop up.
Friends of Germany do not seek to avoid this issue: Moreover that we will discuss it in its proper context alongside other cases of genocide or ethnic cleansing in the 20th century.
We don't suppose to deny any aspect of The Holocaust but what we do demand is true justice, accurate facts and the legal ability to discuss the Holocaust: There are over 14 countries where the critical discussion of the Holocaust is illegal, despite the right to free speech and the rights to collect information, as supposedly, guarenteed in such international legislation as the European Convention of Human Rights and the Universal Declaration on Human Rights.

Madeleine McCann: The Horror So Far
Gerry and Kate's Message
It is now more than two years since Madeleine was taken from us – more than two years since we saw and held our beautiful daughter, since Sean and Amelie played with their big sister, since we were a happy family of five. Without doubt, two years seems a huge proportion of your life when you’re six years old, but in reality it is just a tiny fraction of the life which lies ahead of you. It is important for us to keep looking forward.
Whilst the fact that Madeleine is still missing remains our greatest anxiety, it is important to remember that the person who took Madeleine remains free. Other children could be at risk from this person too if we do not continue with our investigation, or if the people who know or suspect something remain silent. There is no law enforcement agency actively looking for Madeleine or the person who took her. As such, Madeleine and possibly other children are dependent on good and moral ‘everyday’ people to help them. We kindly ask you to share this responsibility with us.
Why do we continue?
-There is absolutely nothing to suggest that Madeleine has been harmed.
-Madeleine is still missing and someone needs to be looking for her.
-She is very young and vulnerable and needs our help.
-We love her dearly and miss her beyond words.
We must continue and never give up on Madeleine.
Thank you so much for your continued help, support and information. You have helped to sustain us as a family and continue to increase our chances of finding Madeleine.

The German Expellee Statement
The German Expellee Statement is a little-known document signed in 1950, only a few years after World War Two.
Given the horror inflicted upon the East European Germans it is of respect that we note the document that renounced violence and retaliation.
